About Terry Kruegel
Terry moved to Boulder, CO in 1973 to study Buddhism with Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, the founder of Naropa University. In 1978, he was employed by Tom Hast as a commercial property manager and leasing agent. Tom Hast would soon found “Hast & Co.”, a firm that is still operating.
Terry joined Pennant Investment Company in 1982, where he managed 200,000 sf of downtown Boulder commercial space, and soon began to do independent leasing and sales. He gained a vast amount of experience in all aspects of commercial real estate, and soon began to do leasing and sales all over Boulder county.
In 1990 Terry joined Investment Property Services, and was the leasing agent for 150,000 sf of space in Downtown Boulder. Terry also joined various downtown organizations in Boulder and Louisville, and focused on commercial sales and leasing.
In 1994 Terry joined The Colorado Group as a leasing and sales associate, where he was a top sales associate for many years. Terry remained at this firm for 16 years, working with many developers including Lou Della Cava and Bill Reynolds, to find suitable development properties. He also worked exclusively with Naropa University for 10 years, and was responsible for finding three buildings to purchase.
In July of 2010, Terry fulfilled a business dream that was many years in the making, and formed “Kruegel Commercial Real Estate”. Initially he will continue to do commercial leasing and sales, but is open to property management, joint ventures, and will collaborate with all the brokers, property owners and developers to put together deals.
Terry has specialized for many years in “hip-pocket” listings, and his forte’ is putting his many buyers and sellers together to acquire properties that are not on the market.
